To this caused my grades to take the hit.

To whom it may concern, I am writing to request a review on my academic dismissal from City College of New York. I am aware that i have not been doing well on my classes and I understand that I have no else to blame but myself and I take full responsibility. I am writing this appeal letter hoping that you would consider reinstating me for next semester. I admit I had a very hard time during my semesters in City College and I would like to share with you the circumstances that led to my academic standing. Due to financial problems in my household I was urged to take on two jobs, so that I can help out with the bills and pay for my tuition. Working two jobs had incredibly affected my study time and this caused my grades to take the hit. I knew from the beginning that it was not going to be easy juggling two jobs and schoolwork however, I really wanted to stay in school, graduate, and get a stable job so I can help my family. Now I understand that I did not handle my situation very well and as a result my grades have suffered. Another thing I should’ve done was communicate with my professors and advisors instead of avoiding them and being shy.I understand that this is no excuse for my poor grades and I deeply regret not trying to come up with a solution to my problem before it had reached this point. After reevaluating my situation, I have come up with a plan to help me manage my time wisely between work and school. If reinstated, I will work less during the semester and instead, work twice as much during breaks in order to save enough money for my tuition. I will also communicate and ask for help from my professors and advisors if needed. If I am given a second chance, I will make sure to keep my studies my number one priority. After all, nothing means more to me than graduating and helping my family.Thank you so much for taking the time to read through my appeal, I hope you will give me another chance.
