This first process comprises four tasks: Discovery, classification and organization, identification of priorities and creation of models. These stages are essential for the success of the BI project, they are the most time-consuming processes, require very good communication with the stakeholders and a very good understanding of their needs in order to develop a high quality model of the BI system.BI consolidates data and presents them in ways that help users to make informed decisions faster. For the collection and storage of data involves data warehousing (DW) technologies.
