In realising it, as our brains process and sort

In regards to text, paraphrasing can be done with individual sentences or entire paragraphs. I often relate news stories to my friends whereby I recount the storyline, the main characters, the events, and important points using my own words. By doing this I am paraphrasing, by using my own words to express someone else’s message or ideas. In a paraphrase, the ideas and meaning of the original source must be maintained; the main ideas need to come through, but the wording has to be your own. When looking at the article given, I have selected the following text; “Education, if looked at beyond its conventional boundaries, forms the very essence of all our actions. What we do is what we know and have learned, either through instructions or through observation and assimilation. When we are not making an effort to learn, our mind is always processing new information or trying to analyse the similarities as well as the tiny nuances within the context which makes the topic stand out or seem different. If that is the case then the mind definitely holds the potential to learn more, however, it is us who stop ourselves from expanding the horizons of our knowledge with self-doubt or other social, emotional, or economic constraints.”If I were to paraphrase this, I could relay it in the following way; everything we do is based on what we have learnt, that is not just classroom based learning but things we have learnt through what others have told us, or shown us and things we learn through trial and error. Every day is a school day; we are constantly learning without even realising it, as our brains process and sort information all the time, such as if I sting myself on a plant, my brain will automatically store that away so I do not do it again. When you think about it like this, it is easy to imagine that we can go on educating ourselves for the rest of our lives, but we stop ourselves from doing it because of “self-doubt or other social, emotional, or economic constraints”.Recasting means “to restructure a sentence; restructuring is sometimes needed to avoid awkwardness, to give information in the order the reader needs it, or to introduce new concepts in a way that will promote understanding”. You would want to take charge and control over your own life and income. This is when you will decide to become a self-employed individual, who would like to watch his / her own ideas take realistic form. Restructured: There could be a time whereby you find yourself no longer wanting to be just an employee, this could be because you want to take charge of your life and income. As a result, you may well then decide to become self-employed and put your ideas into practice.
