The style of the building is French Renaissance and ClassicalRenaissance, and it remains one of the most significant examples for thisarchitectural style. The Chateau de Chambord is set within a wooded forest andis an exceptionally symmetrical four-square plan considering its grand (ingersoll).Unlike the French architectural styles of the time, the Chambord contained a moreItalian style and saw the use of a Greek cross-shaped center plan. This meantthat the four sides of the building open to a large room forming a cross wherethey meet the famous double helix staircase. The center building is thenfortified with an enclosure and every corner is connected with a circulartower. The Château de Chambord ismagnificent both in the interior and exterior giving visitors a representationof French renaissance.
